Jackson Hole Art Auction

As the gateway to the spectacular Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Jackson, Wyoming is also home to the Jackson Hole Art Auction. Presented at the Center for the Arts in Jackson, the annual live auction has quickly become one of the premier western art events in the country. This auction is known by the high standard of works offered by both contemporary western artists and deceased masters. The auction begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19th. Prior to the auction, Tucker Smith with give a lecture and slide show authors of “The Wind Rivers”. There will also be a book signing by William T. Ward & Gary L. The National Museum of Wildlife Art presents "Western Visions Miniatures & More". Many of the top painters and sculptors in the country will have artwork available for purchase. Most of the artist's attend this annual event. This year’s featured artists are Leo Osborne and Lindsay Scott. Trailside Galleries is thrilled to announce a showcase of new work by distinguished wildlife artist, Bonnie Marris. Known for her stunning oil paintings of North American wildlife, Bonnie has an extensive background in wildlife illustration that explains her anatomical accuracy and a deep reverence for the power and beauty each of her subjects exude. Bonnie makes it a priority to visit the wild habitats of these creatures, from Alaska to Yellowstone National Park, providing her with the ability to capture both the extraordinary strength of her predator subjects in more natural, candid states. Her work hangs in some of the most discerning collections, both corporate and private alike. This new series of work will be on display in the Jackson gallery from the 1st of September through the 20th with an artist's reception scheduled for Saturday, September 19th.
